No parece alimentarse en un acuario, pero le va mejor en tanques que reciben relativamente fuerte alimentaci\u00f3n constante.<\/p><p><strong>Conveniencia y Compatibilidad con el acuario de arrecife:<\/strong> F\u00e1cil de mantener, pro puede envenenar\u00a0 a otros habitantes del tanque.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Cuidado Cautivo:<\/strong> Estos corales resistentes, parecidos a cuero, que parecen champi\u00f1ones o jarrones acampanados, pueden convertirse en magn\u00edficos ejemplares de acuario. Eficaces competidores de espacio, secretan numerosos productos qu\u00edmicos que inhiben a muchos otros animales. Ocasionalmente cazados por el caracol <em>rapa rapa<\/em> que los come de adentro hacia afuera, tienen gran poder de recuperaci\u00f3n si se quita el caracol y se cortan las \u00e1reas da\u00f1adas con un cuchillo. Las colonias pasan por ciclos de extensi\u00f3n y retracci\u00f3n de p\u00f3lipos, y en ocasiones la parte superior de la colonia puede ser bastante lisa. Los esquejes se propagan f\u00e1cilmente.
